A Man and a Guitar: TakeAway Recording Project

Mino's recording project of 'one-off' recordings is complete. A "take-away" recording is simply one song recorded beginning to end in the old-fashioned way: no edits, or "overdubs" (that is, no using the equivalent of 'whiteout' to fix mistakes), no nothin, no nonsense.
The cuts are upclose and personal, simple, and immediate. "After so many years of having someone come up and say 'do you have any recordings of what you just did just now?', I can finally answer, 'Yes!'" We're hoping to have it complete by 4 December 2011.
The CD is a collection of original songs. The first 25 are available exclusively at the Madona School Auction 4 December at Kiana Lodge in Suquamish, Washington. and through the end of January 2012. Call the Madrona School at 206-855-8041 to order. 100% of proceeds will go to benefit Madrona Waldorf School on Bainbridge Island and will selll for $25 each. "Thats' how it's starting out," explains Mino. "This is about the personal nature of beautiful music. We all need to connect."
Albert Treskin Design has agreed to develop the art for the CD album. Only a limited edition pressing of CDs will be made. Each original CD album will be signed and numbered. After 100 physical CD albums are sold the album will be retired.
